RML Lands Target Grant for Art Instruction Classes

Target JPG Logo The library has received a $2,000 grant from Target to begin a program called the Imagination Station at RML. The project will lead to the creation of art classes at the library, with the goal of helping young people in Grady County discover and nurture their artistic skills. The library staff is hopeful that the program can eventually become self-sustaining. The Target grant will be used as seed money to get the first sessions started. Watch for announcements of art classes in the fall. Also, anyone with suggestions for certain classes or certain people who would like to help with the program should speak with a library staff member as the planning begins. Roddenbery Memorial Library thanks Target for returning part of its profit to our community for the improvement of art appreciation.
